Last spring I bought a banana from ebay seller "mda1515" as namwah 'pearl'. He/she is selling them again. It turned out to be a dwarf with yellow-green foliage that I suspect to actually be 'Miami gold'. By the end of the summer it had gotten a little taller than knee high and looked like this...
<a href=http://www.bananas.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=22726&ppuser=5745&sl=c><img src=http://www.bananas.org/gallery/watermark.php?file=22726&size=1 border=0></a>
It went through the worst winter in recent memory in the ground and I was relieved to see it emerge this spring. The problem is that it seems to have come back as albino! It isn't a new shoot off the side of the tuber but came out of the old p-stem. Anybody know what's going on here? It looks pretty sad and I may dig it and move it to more shade.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Russell
