I really had no clue what to look for when the hike started, but as it progressed I started figuring it out, but getting into position without knocking over people on a small trail was really tough so I missed a lot of good opportunities. It was the bond and trust between guides and vision impaired students that I found to be the most interesting and inspiring to photo.

For those familiar with photography these shots were processed from jpg but I did shoot in RAW which is a great thing because I spaced on adjusting the white balance a few times with the ever changing light. The lady who is the regular photographer that I filled in for that day will be processing the RAW files for the book she's doing. There is also a married couple that are filming this project from start to finish for a documentary.

Anyway, the whole experience was very "eye opening" for me, and I'm very happy I did it. :)

Very cool. I especially liked the 'no dogs on trail' picture. :ha: Then again, seeing eye dogs are allowed to go into restaurants and tons of places dogs aren't typically allowed. I've been trained here in school on how to be a sighted guide for low vision patients....it's cool to see it in action (and that they are actually doing it how we were trained!).

This is very nice of You Mitchel that U joined this mission. I hope that many of your pics will find place in that book and that you will do many more tasks like this one.
