Default Re: Sikkimensis Red Tiger vs Sikkimensis Daj Giant

Hi

what I know is ;
This must be confirmed or invalidated.

Musa sikkimensis is a specie from Eumusa section found by M KURZ year 1878 in north India mountain (1600/2000m). Specie described by M SIMMONDS in 1956.

Some variantions do exist as red tiger, manipur, and Darjeeling geant. Maybe there are others variations

But some told me that vhen you approach to manipur the sikkimensis specie get more red colors on the leaves.

I have green sikki, and red tiger, anyway I hope so.
The green sikki is green (its not original what I say) red tiger shows litte red stipes when young and so in the middle ol the leaves when bigger.

Darjeeling geant seems to be a geant sikki variation found in darjeling hills.

All what I know about sikkimensis
