Agreed but the degree of suseptability (to what eventually becomes rot) varies greatly and in my exprience the Siam Ruby suffers more than most. None of my many other banana varieties suffer in the same way and i certainly don't have to put any of them under cover. In fact most of them thrive in it and pup like mad. SR is a very nice plant just not suited to very wet and cool climate.
