Hi Anna,

First I would believe that you indeed have two different bananas in one pot, Possibly "siam ruby, the red one, and margarita, the green one, but if by some chance they are one plant I would still split right down the middle. Then I would plant each in a fairly large pot, I'm growing in 15 gallon containers now, using a well draining moisture retentitive mix. In the winter i brought in my bordelons bought late last year and put them in your brightest window and continue to water. Banan plants need space to grow so the bigger the pot the better. you may find that making your own mix is easier to get the results you want.
