I am glad to see that there are people that bananas grown in areas as cold.
When people looked me planting bananas here, I said I was crazy, here are a frost and sometimes snow day a year. The coast of Spain are good areas for planting banabas, but I do not see people of Spain in the forum.

I Albert, that's complicated. usually people from zones like 5, 6, 7 and 8 are more attracted and can more appreciate various palms, bananas and exotic plants than people from zones 9, 10 and 11.
You say, that you have one snow day, I have 2 or 3 frosty months.

So I have to hide my nanas. But it's worth it I think. Unlike palms, you get that tropical feeling in your garden. And unlike palms, there's fruit on it. Real soon.
I was surprised too, but people from Spain don't usually go near tropical plants. I don't know why. Maybe because you have the driest country in the Europe...

Most of Musa prefer high humidity and lots of irrigation.
Good luck growing.
