Joy New to Growing Bananas

Hi all,

I've been lurking here for a while, kind of digging through the archives getting some basic questions answered and such. This is a really awesome forum and I've learned a good bit already.

I purchased one dwarf banana (gran nain) and was accidentally sent two. I thought I was going to lose them both because they were so tangled together, their stalks were flush against each other and I thought it was one plant. I managed to separate them and get them into their own separate pots without killing them both (yay!) and they have tripled in size since the first week of June. It's just amazing!

I grew up on a farm in Louisiana, but I now live in Tennessee where I'm starting my own little orchard of dwarf trees in pots until my husband and I decide on a piece of property here.

I'm looking forward to learning from you all!
