Default when to fertilize new plants?

There are many threads here about fertilizing bananas.

Many of the state to fertilize them after the get established. What does that mean? I have some that I only potted a few days ago, but they have all put out new leaves. Would it be good to feed them now? Or should I wait a while.

Is there a difference on when you should start ferilizing bananas in the ground vs those that are in pots? I have both, but both are new.

Also, should first feeding be about the same time on a tc plant as a transplanted pup?

thanks
