Michael and I got back safe and sound from backpacking Saturday afternoon. We hiked a little over 28 miles along the coastal Point Reyes (an area north of San Francisco) and had some great weather, though a bit of fog on a couple of days. I'll post some photos taken from my cell phone when I've got time since I was rushed in packing on Tuesday and left home without the memory card for my camera. Most of the hiking was fairly easy though there were some points of some decent elevation changes (came down 1200 feet in 2 miles Saturday morning). Total elevation gain over the 28 miles was 4104 feet according to my GPS unit. We had a great time and the freeze dried food wasn't too bad.
