Default Banana Chutes like crazy!! Now what??

Hello,
I planted two baby Dwarf Cavendish trees a few months ago and they are growing very well. So well in fact that I have noticed four chutes comming up near thwe roots. Those chutes now are groing leaves and are growing very rapidly themselves.
At what point could this be damaging to themselves and the larger parent plants? They are very close.
How to I safely remove the baby chutes from the bigger parent trees?
Thanks in advance!
