Michael, I believe we are all trying to be respectful of Richard but we are very concerned about him, forget about the plants...

Scot, does Richard live alone?

The possibilities are horrible to think of.
I worked with a man whose elderly mother fell in her garage in winter, they found her deceased several days later, she had dragged herself under the car, they think to try and stay warm. I don't think my friend ever forgave himself, blamed himself for not calling to check in on her.

Hopefully everything will be fine and he was suddenly called away or something.
