Welcome, Steve! The first time I heard somebody pronounce that town, I was sure it was spelled "Lewisville," lol. Then I went through it one afternoon (I didn't blink, or I'd have missed it!) and saw the sign "Louisville." The guy I was riding with pronounced it, and the light bulb finally went off in my head, lol. Maryville="Murvul," Knoxville="Noxvul," and my personal favorite...Shelbyville="Shebvul." Oh, and Woodbury="Wudbur." Murfreesboro="Murfisburrah," and Smyrna="Sahmurnah." I could go on...
I lived in Shelburne, VT from 1976-1980. Beautiful area, and seemed like there was always snow on the ground in the winter. Lived up in St. John, NB, Canada also. It didn't just
seem like there was always snow on the ground there...there
was!
Shoot me an email sometime.
