Suzzi, you can either grow them from seed or make rootings from semi-hardwood cuttings. Since you are on a farm, perhaps you have some rooting hormone for this?

Once you have some growing, I would plant them as a row of bushes about 1 to 2 meters apart. Control the size by thinning out branches instead of trimming as a hedge.

Are the wild plants in your area bush-like or more tree-like?

By the way, Carissa edulis and Carissa spinarum are some of the most nutritious fruits in the world!
