And yes, it's true, the "platano hawaiano" makes great tostones in taste and texture - if not the best. For now, I have to settle for the frozen HM's from Freshco mart - partially cooked and squashed. They are ok, but it's like eating frozen fish sticks compared to fresh caught fish.
Still have a few potted pups if you are interested.
