Happy New Year and thanks to everyone for invaluable information that showed me that I could grow plants I didn't know I could! It was a wonderful summer watching the bananas grow taller and taller until they were taller than my house. I have learned so much and met such wonderful people. And that just goes on and on.
I've gone from two small lemon trees in a bath tub next to a south facing window each year to a cleared out spare bedroom wintering bananas, cannas, the lemons, pineapple, ginger, bamboo and misc. garden veges that I couldn't bare to let the frost get to this year since I didn't have to let the growing stop!
A special thanks to Mikevan for introducing us to aquaponics which took on a life of it's own at our house. Pete good luck with marketing a set up for lettuce/basil! My husband wanted to do that be we had to make a list of priorities.
One of my D. Orinoco pups will go into an aquaponics pot this spring as an experiment. I'm looking forward to that.
Holidays are over and now I can pay more attention to playing with the plants and see what I've been missing on the org!
