My Dear Friends, let me introduce myself.
I'm student of technical unversity in Bratislava, Slovakia. (Central Europe, those who like GPS, here it is: 48°07'03.89"N, 17°08'54.20"E).
I live in a family, maybe now also two generation house and have a quite big garden (considering the city) with orientation on South (E-S-W) with the maximal possible legth of sun day.
Average temperature (in my garden)
this summer was about 30°C ( ~86°F)(average, some weeks it was just 34 -37 (93-100~°F) with no water drops in two weeks - amazingly, some of the Alaskan and Siberian fruit managed to survive that).
Winter is much worse, as I live in the mild climate, temperatures can fall to -20°C (~-4°F) in extreme situations, just for comparison, the last winter was very hot, we only went down to -3 (~27°F) for a few weeks and then the spring began. (low temperatures are good for skiing
)
So what am I doing here, on this web site wanting to grow fruit I just as well might not be able to keep alive through winter? Wrong, to be honest, I have only seen one tropical plant die in my hands because of freezing to death - Coffea Arabica, which I ordered from one company, but the delivery boy kept it outside the car for a few hours (in -5°C ~23°F, what a charming guy, he didn't even mind the inscription TROPICAL PLANTS, KEEP WARM in English).
Here's my
"professional curriculum":
- grown
2 Dwarf Cavendish plants (without even knowing it, then they had fruits (and I found out) and died (fortunately had some pups - 2 I have today))
- also some other tropical plants are in my collection, above others I would mention from seeds grown
Palms (yes, hardy palms - Jubaea Chilensis, Butia Capitata, Rhapidophyllum hystrix, ...)
- Some
pineapples (ananas comosus, one from seed three from the pineapple leftovers (yes, it grows
))

citruses (actually 3 grown - 2 tangerines and 1 lemon - not fruiting yet)
- nerium oleander, eucalyptus globulus... other to come to me soon...
I would also like to expand my collection with edible banana, such as that mentioned in the quotes upper. 'Valery...' I would like to grow banana in my garden (for skeptics, yes, it's possible, I've done it a few times with other tropical fruit).
Therefore I'm looking for someone in the Europe, best in Central Europe, but the whole Europe is fine as well, who could give/trade/sell me any TRIPLOID cultivar, that produces SEEDLESS EDIBLE FRUIT and/or providing me with information needed to get my hands on it. Any pups will do, I've read so much already, that it surely will survive. I'll cover the shipment.
