I just had one of my Orinoco's send up a bud. It was one that we had to top by several feet as it was damaged by Ike. I would think that if we had not been forced to top it that the bud would still be down in the psuedostem and likely not have emerged until spring. As it is now, the plant has about 3 leaves, but my banana leaves normally get toasted by a little frost each winter so I'm not expecting much. I'll leave any fruit that may develop and see what happens.
