Default Re: Musa Sikkimensis Darjeeling Giant

I am up to 6 Ensete Glaucum and 2 Darjeeling Giants sprouted. One thing I noticed is that I accidentally let the E. Glaucum seeds dry the day before the first one sprouted so, I've been waiting to water until after the top of the cell dries. It was so successful that I am at 60 percent germination so far, all first signs of sprouting coming after a dry period. I started taking all the Sikkimensis seeds off the heat mat at night as I've read about fluctuating temperatures being beneficial to germination of these. So far so good.
By the way, I've chosen to transplant these as soon as they poke through the soil figuring that the seed is still providing all the energy to the plant and would suffer less or no transplant shock. This has proved to be true as all the seedlings are doing really well. The first two are starting to develop their second leaves already.
