I live in a rural area and am very lucky I even have DSL as a choice. They had to run about 10 miles of line just to pick up 24 customers so I think it will be on the 100 year pay-back plan. As a back-up, I tether my notebook to my cell phone and it works quite well. A friend and I were driving back from Mitchel's house late one night last December on our way to NorCal and we were bored so I had my friend fire things up and we did a video chat with a mutual friend in Israel when we were about half ways home at 1am. Great way to break up a six hour drive!
