MSKITTY's right. get a chainsaw and make a skylight...Thats just me!!!!lol
Seriously I'm no expert but this year I took a banana from Florida and brought it back to Tennessee. I cut it off at 1'5" to fit in the suitcase. Its been almost a month later and I have 2 leaves on it. I'd say if you have it in direct sunlight you have a shot at it.
Maybe on of the guru's can give futher advice.
