It is a cold hardy banana crossed with an edible diploid. If the seeds are f1(first generation), then there is some chance of some edibles coming from the cross, but if it's an f2(second generation) then less of a chance if the f2 is a seeded plant.
I think that these f1 and f2 terms apply to Musa but I'm not sure, but an any rate I hope you get what I'm trying to say.
