Yes, wholeheartedly agree, too much sun, too soon. They need to become acclimated slowly to full sun. A few weeks of shade will help immensely. If you haven't already done so, re-planting with compost and some perlite or other coarse soil additives to assist drainage will be beneficial as well. Good luck!
