As large as you have space for. Frederick is a cultivar of Passiflora edulis or Purple Maracuya. I had one that covered an entire balcony, maybe 300 feet of vine, quite handily. You can also train them to hide the walls of your house; I have a friend who did this, and he's got over 500+ feet of it. These are not, by any stretch, the largest specimens I've seen.

You can limit its size by pruning it judiciously, and by limiting the amount of soil it's growing in (ie put it in a pot.)
