Default Re: Double Mahoi question about second+ generations

I've heard two different theories on this. One says that the pups that come up on the tc plants so readily were buds that developed in response to the chemicals used to replicate the plants in the test tubes. In other words, the chemicals caused lots of buds to form, but not all of them grew at the same rate, some were under developed. Then when the plants were split up and put into rooting chemicals, the underdeveloped buds went with them.

Then I've also heard that they are really regular pups. So I really don't know at all.

I'd really be leaning more towards the first explanation though myself, since bananas that size don't usually produce pups.
I do know that it's really cool though. I have one rose that's growing into its own miniclump. It has one larger one and 8 pups now!
