Chong , everthing you say is correct. As a member of the British Theatre I only say Actor as a habit. Back in the early 80's there was real pressure from the females in the Company to be correct , which is fine , but it does keep one on ones toes. I'm a Dyslexic person so I often don't express myself well with the written word. Well done with four languages , I speak only English and some French. My kids are Bi-lingual in French and English and my wife also has German , so I'm the Dummy around here :-) . What confuses me often is that Americans pronounce the Latin names of plants in very different way to the way it's done in the UK . Luckly 'California Gold' is pronounced the same way but with a different accent in the UK lol .
