Mitch,

A member of the Orange County CRFG is growing Selenocereus megalanthus. This fruit takes 140 days to mature in southern CA versus the 45 days for Hylocereus species. It is not at all sour, but the brix is not that great either at around 12. In its native environment though, it is very sweet and ripens in 50 days.
