Default Re: AeAe vs Florida, how to tell the difference?

Another easy way to tell is to measure the length of the leaf blade and divide it by the width of the leaf blade, the same way of determining if a banana plant is a dwarf or non-dwarf.

An a'ea'e is not a dwarf but it's leaves are more similar to that of a dwarf compared to a florida. While the florida has a leaf ratio more similar to that of a manzano.

Obviously this can also be used to help identify a manzano.

It would be helpful if there was a thread or wiki page that collected different leaf blade lengths and widths for the a'ea'e and florida so that members could compare their plants to.

Manzano
