The banana plant I’m referring to is a Dwarf Cavendish. It’s my first banana plant. I bought it from a nursery called ‘TyTy’s Plant Nursery’. I was shipped a really small water sucker but I was ignorant at the time. It’s been six months and it’s hardly a foot tall lol. I won’t be buying from them again, that’s for sure. It produced suckers very fast and continues to do so. I’ve taken out a few of them to hopefully help the mother plant grow faster.
On the other hand, I got a Raja Puri corm from a trusted banana seller and it’s growing like crazy; must’ve been a sword sucker.

dwarf cavendish pups alot when they are severely stressed or about to die. if your plant is only a foot tall then this is the case. i don't think your seller is to blame. i, from reading your post, would suspect to high of nitrogen. i once gave some miracle grow to a dc in a pot and killed it, but it put out about 20 pups before dieing.
i like my raja puri and i know them to be a more foregiving plant.
