I haven't tried this myself yet but maybe it can work for you. Paint the outside of your pot white. Or keep one side white and the other dark. That way you can face it depending on how much heat you want. Glad that pon is working out for you.

The unburlaped pot got to 132 degrees by 9am and the one i had stapled burlap to was only 90, huge diff. Have it mostly in shade for now. Ill put it out in full sun in early mornings on my days off for a couple hrs and move it back to mostly shaded area. My other bananas are shaded by 11am. Microclimate is key here in the desert. The florida I put outside in am as for a couple hrs but its mostly kept inside for now on a heat mat with grow lights. I wonder if a grow bag may be better then nursery pots.

The florida seems to love the pon, roots growing like crazy. The 2nd new leaf I got was smaller than the others, but 3rd was normal size. Guessing plant stress maybe, its growing well though.
