This is what I can add.

First if you like to thrift shop check out the thrifts along the treasure coast.
Jupiter /West Palm has some good ones.

The Florida big box stores have the most common ornamental and fruiting banana plants for sale.

Independent nurseries will have a small selection of bananas also and an incredible selection of tropicals and landscape plants.
My favorites for tropicals Weatherbee nursery in FT Pierce and Pinders nursery in Palm City.

Craigslist / Florida/Miami currently has plants for sale and this is where you will find some gems if they're offered . The further south you go the more exotic the selection will be.
