Yeah, the plant has had a tough time. I have had greater than the usual number of storms and wind this year so unfortunately most of my plants have damaged leaves vs. other years. Your patupi looks beautiful! I miss that full leaf look.

This is the third year so it seems the corm has accumulated enough power to push the main plant despite all the setbacks. Hopefully this will be the year!

If your plant is at 5' of pstem I think you have a good shot at a flower by the beginning of October but keep on top of your fertilizer program. Probably about 75% probability. I got a flower last year at 96" of height so I have another 14" which would put me at late August for a flower. No hurricanes!!!
You're definitely on track to get fruit this year. Often there's just no substitute for time, and the fact that it's taken a few years is gonna make that first taste that much better!

And yeah, I put it in a spot where it's protected from the wind but unfortunately it's also blocked out from the sun by the corner of the house, so it misses out on a few hours of sunlight every day. I considered moving it to a sunnier spot but hesitated because of fear of transplant shock. It might still be worth it, who knows?
