Hm...I guess if you just leave them alone, other than water, for a few weeks you will likely get a better picture of what is going on. If they recover without intervention then maybe it was fertilizer. If they continue to display the issues you have noticed, then maybe a deficiency or some other problem not associated with over fertilization. Definitely keep us posted.
