I agree with the over-fertilization because I just recently over-fertilized my bananas on purpose like 2 weeks ago. This happened to pretty much all my bananas, the only ones who seemed to 'tolerate' the extra fertilizer was Blue Java & Praying Hands.

They are all growing fine now so it was just a lesson learned lol

Yeah it’s odd. But I’m glad others agree. My blue java was one of the worst, my St. Helens, gros Michel, Siam ruby are all okay. So idk what I did different, mahbe They are more tolerant,
