"Are there any photos of specific areas that would help in identifying?"

Any pics are better than none I have essentially no experience identifying edible bananas, but from what I have read in many previous posts, I would start with pics of:

1) the whole plant, preferably with the entire flowering/fruiting structure included
2) close-up of the flower itself
3) close-up of the fruit
4) close-up of the 'knuckles' - where the fruit attaches to the rachis
5) maybe a close-up of the leaf petioles

Not really sure what else the experts might want to see, but the above should get things started.
