Default Christmas repotting ok?

My Dwarf Cavendish is doing great indoors. I suspect it is happy because I'm continuously getting new leaves. Bu alas, roots are in need of space. They pop up from the top and bottom. Am I correct to say that the current need trumps the no potting rule in winter?

I live in the Chicago area. Moisture is above 50% and lowest temp by the plant is around 60.

Which also brings me to another question. You can repot in winter if the plant grows year-round and does not go dormant. Is this true for a Dwarf Cavendish growing indoors under a nice strong light?

Thanks
Alex
