Best I can tell is that there is really just one 'Red' Banana and all the various names are all simply synonyms of Musa acuminata (AAA Group) 'Red Dacca'.
But if that's true, why are there also 'Tall' and 'Dwarf' Red Bananas listed in places with very different sizes?

Now what are the chances that you just posted this thread! I was just about to post a thread about this very mysterious banana plant myself just today! Not only that but I bought the same plant from the same seller on ebay as you! So I am genuinely curious myself! However, sorry I don’t know any answers myself!
