Not in my area.
Bananas will not fruit in cooler zones like ours..
The plant is a perpetual plant......once you have it ....It will never go away.

The plant is quite common as a short(novelty) landscape plant in many areas.

Many of the ones I have seen in South Florida are quite robust with a big footprint.
