banana plants are pretty tough - declaring them dead one day after transplant is pretty extreme. Bananas do experience shock after transplant
and should be treated with care - keep watered, keep shaded from harsh sunlight, don't fertilize until they have recovered and produced new growth. They don't bounce back immediately but they do bounce back...
