I know this is the reason Going Bananas has never carried them:
Catalog of banana plants offered at Going Bananas
If so grow Brazilian...I love Manzanos..(more so than Braz...not as sweet with a "sub-acid flavor") I occasionally buy them at the local Spanish markets..just have never grown them (I grow Brazilians)...
Disease has been a concern, but I love the taste sooo... much , I'm willing to take the chance. I've had my Manzano for over 15 yrs. , no signs of disease yet!
