Default Re: Advice on LED growlights/ do bananas require full spectrum

My red and blue LEDs are 660/460nm and contain no full spectrum content. The leds are 5Ws each and I have 80 of them on a panel. There are 12 full spectrum LEDs spread across the panel.

I get a new leaf every 2 or 3 weeks. The leaves look normal and transpire a lot for a week after watering. I really don't push them and keep my soil very dry otherwise I'll get fungus gnats and other bugs. I also run the light for 12 hours on / 12 hours off.

You can adjust the height of your light above the plants to see if it helps. I keep my light 2-3' above my plant leaves, basically out of convenience.
