I have been using LED growlights for the last couple of years now, over winter months, as i wanted my bananas to keep growing. I looked at other type of lights, but LED was for me.
Now the issue that I have got is. I was told blue and red was all i needed, so initially I got a 60w red and blue led bulbs, over the winter months the leaves grow, but the plants won't pick up height, leaves just stack on top of each other, there is no growth on the petiole on each leaf, its not a heat issue as temperatures are not dropped less than 22c.
This year i purchased 100w red and blue LED bulb. I assumed the bulb power need to be more, but i am having the same results.
I have now read up that i possibly need full spectrum 100w LED bulbs, as bananas need more than just red and blue.
If anyone can give advice on this, i would really appreciate it.

I have mentioned this for the last few years.....
GO TO THE CANNIBIS forums.
The growing conditions are the same and there is much much more information on how to grow your plants.
Fellas that post in the forums have a lot to gain

The DYI videos product links, are exellent .
Me ... full spectrum 65k spiral and tube cfl and full spectrum led for my plants.
My coverage is a 12x12 grow room and a conditioned 16x50 grow area and a cool garage.
Note .....this is enough to keep the plants alive and not tossing leaves every day.
Absolutely not enough to hold a flower to go to fruit.
Lights will always cause your plants to grow tighter with seemingly smaller leaves.....normal
However..Check out the roots the container that your plant is in...And you will go sheeeeet.
Two current posting forum members who I know grow under lights are Subsonicdrone and Geissene...both have plants under lights.
These fellas are good
Iowa.....your doing good stuff over there..check out the fellas growing weed though
But at the end of the day....I am still finding this stuff out.
