Default Vietnamese Seeded Banana

Hey all, I'm trying to help a coworker find a type of seeded banana that is famously used in Vietnam. She claims that the banana is commonly used medicinally, and it's pulp is quite sweet when fully ripe. It is used green, when the seeds are white and soft, as a cooking banana. A lot of people in Vietnam add the whole ripe banana to bottles of alcohol as a means to relieve pain.

She searched the wikipedia in Vietnamese for what she knows it as, and the result showed "musa balbisiana". Would any of you know if this is correct, or what particular cultivar of balbisiana that this banana is?

Thanks for any help that you can provide.
