Default Re: Newbie guidance

I wish it was that easy for me. We lost seven plants this year to various issues. Half would develop spots from too much sunlight and the other half developed the rot at the base from overwatering? Tissue Culture plants don't have the corm built up for whatever reason so they need more babying from the start if I am correct. These new plants that I get in I will try a higher amount of perlite so I can maybe try to water the soil instead of just a mist on the leaves. I think I need to also invest in a ph reader so I can see if maybe they are dying because of ph... We also have a bunch of grass hopers in e texas that eat these leaves like crazy so that has been a big issue for the bananas I have out in the field right now.
