Re: how deep for an Ensete?
10-4, but I have been reading re true Musas that planting deeper can be better under some circumstances - water availability, temp protection and stability, and that Musas seem to not be harmed. Ensetes are relatives, so thought that they too could handle a pstem somewhat deeper than original ground level - like I was thinking 6 to 8 inches as they will be in pots. One special reason for extra stability is that when moved, they are tipped, and a little extra depth could help support them. At 2' they are wobbly (I tend to plant all seeds of everything we plant shallow to speed up germination and early on growth).
