Default Newbie to banana plants, just bought a small Blue Java. Hi!

Greetings!

I just found this site via a google search and am obsessively reading old posts and doing searches trying to find the best soil and fertilizer options for my new banana plant friend. I grow mostly succulents and the occasional tomato plant, here in the San Francisco Bay Area (9b).

My baby plant has all of 4 leaves and just arrived in the mail from Florida. I kind of bought it on a whim after learning about Blue Java bananas, but I figure with my penchant for intense research I can probably house it and feed it and keep it alive. No idea if it will ever fruit, but who knows Can't wait to learn from you all, thanks for sharing your knowledge.
