Re: Hallo to all the Forum
Bananas are relatively common (but not close to Florida) in Sicily and in Calabria especially in the variety of Dwarf Orinoco (Varietà "Comune di Sicilia" banana from more than 1000 years in Sicily...) . You should search for some plants of bananas also in the Campania Region (Napoli) expecially on her Archipelago Islands (Capri Island and Sorrento area) but our climate is way drier in terms of Summer precipitation than Florida that is basically tropical . Anyway i think that also Florence has a good insolation (solar energy) because of my annual long calculations and observations (and studies) . Beeing slightly or decisely under 45 parallel stands for a good solar energy year round (with appropriate differences between various locations) . So...who knows...i am hoping to plant my dwarf cavendish somewhere in the background gardens of my palace . I hope my grammar isn't bad ;-)
