Yes it's normal! Ants love the sweet sweet nectar! Take your finger and dip it around a fresh flower! Taste! It tastes great! Here I see lots of fire ants and other bees and wasps. But the paper wasps! I can't stand them! They come from miles around to see my flowers and chase me lol. It seems like it anway.
They won't do any harm that I know of. The little bananas are about the same taste as the leaves or pstem right now! They are only after the flower nectar!!
