It depends on what kind of bananas you like. I have 11 different kinds now, but only one that has fruited so far, since I am kinda new at it also. Namwah are tall and can take cold, so maybe try them since most people like them best... I am not one of those. Brazilians are good for central Florida, and tasty but not very big bananas, plus they take about 6 months to ripen.
I would avoid Cavendish varieties in your location as they do not like cold and your chances of harvest are lower.
Be sure to mulch, fertilize and water every couple days... Also, post pics.

Varieties I supposedly bought: Manzano, Cavendish, Blue Java, Sweetheart, and Gros Michel.
What it seems I actually have: Brazilian, Cavendish, Namwah, Dwarf Red, Gros Michel, Pisang Ceylon, Veinte Cohol and SH 3640, and American Goldfinger. FHIA 1, Paggi and FHIA 17... Always room for one more.
