Hi Remko! I have no idea which subspecies or variety it is. Mr. Markkus didn’t tell me which region in China he collected the seeds. He just told me they were M. Yunnanensis seeds. Now, the bananas I posted should have hybrid seeds because when the M. Yunnanensis female flowers bloomed there were only M. Balbisiana male flowers in the surroundings. When these wild bananas are not pollinated the bananas will not grow and evidently fall or dry out. I will post a picture of the plant with the banana bunch when it bloomed.
