I got them from a friend, they were clumped around a couple of others that he kept and we replanted them. He said that they hadn't fruited yet.

No reason to laugh about bananas growing on the side of the road. Where I am there's millions of them growing wild on the side of the road, and deeper into the jungles, away from the road.
